Appointment Setter (Door-to-Door)

Get into solar sales from the ground up — knock, set qualified appointments, and get paid on what closes.

Shield Partners is hiring door-to-door appointment setters in the Phoenix metro. You canvass neighborhoods, talk with homeowners, and set qualified appointments for our closing team. It's a strong entry point into a solar sales career — the reps who do well here move up.

What you can earn. 1099, commission-only, uncapped. You're paid on every appointment you set that closes and installs, and your per-deal rate rises as your volume grows. A consistent, producing setter earns in the $70k–$115k range; new reps ramp below that while they learn, and top performers run past it. We'll go through the details in conversation.

What you’ll do. You'll work assigned areas on foot, introduce homeowners to solar, and book qualified appointments our closers run. Expect to be outside and on your feet, having a high volume of short conversations. The role rewards consistency, a thick skin, and the discipline to keep knocking when it's slow. Strong setters don't stay setters long — the path here runs toward closing and leadership.

What it takes.

  • Comfortable working outdoors and on your feet for long stretches
  • Able to handle repeated rejection and keep your energy up
  • Consistent, coachable, and reliable — you show up and put in the reps
  • No solar or sales experience required; we train you on the door, the conversation, and the product
  • Reliable transportation to and from territory, and a smartphone
  • Based in the Phoenix metro

What we provide.

  • Training on the door, the conversation, and the product
  • Territory and a team to work alongside
  • A closing team that turns your appointments into paid deals
  • A clear path up — strong setters move toward closing and leadership

Location. Phoenix metro.

  3. What are you looking for in your next opportunity, and what would make this a clear win for you long-term?

Setter and Sales Manager are 1099 independent-contractor positions; Channel Partner is a business-to-business contract with the partner's LLC or corporation. All are commission-based and uncapped; the ranges shown reflect what active, producing reps typically earn and are not a guarantee of income. Actual earnings depend on individual performance, and new reps should expect a ramp period.
